We are evaluating nutritional quality, physical, chemical and functional characteristics of maize hybrids. Specifically, we are:
- Determining the variance and range of grain nutritional characteristics in maize produced under different environmental and management conditions.
- Identifying the most influential factors on grain quality ((i.e., production practices, hybrid, weather).
- Identify the factors (i.e., production practices, hybrid, processing methods) that influence sensory characteristics in maize-based products.
