Ears to the Ground Video Series Launched on eOrganic

The CASH project has recently released the first three videos in our virtual field day series, Ears to the Ground, on eOrganic’s YouTube channel. Our first videos take a closer look at some of the soil tests available to assess nitrogen availability and soil biological activity and their applicability to organic farms.

Coming soon:

Soil N Tests Part 4 – We discuss some early results from the CASH project investigating the use of particulate organic matter and potentially mineralizable N as indicators of soil N supply.

Nixtamalization and Grain Quality – Learn about the nixtamalization process used to make corn tortillas and how grain quality impacts and is impacted by that process as we talk with Armando Sandoval, owner of Maize Mexican Grill in Champaign, IL and Food Scientist, Dr. Juan Andrade, and his team.
